This course meets the needs of OFSTED and complies with Statutory Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Designed to meet the needs of people caring for children in a professional capacity but also a great course for those just wanting more in-depth knowledge on a crucial subject.
Building knowledge and confidence through training and practice on the following topics:
- Their role as a First Aider
- Incident Management
- Helping a child who is unresponsive and breathing
- Helping a child who is unresponsive and not breathing
- Primary and Secondary Survey
- Helping children with the following injuries:
- Head and eye Injuries
- Cuts, Wounds, Bleeds
- Anaphylaxis
- Asthma
- Shock from blood loss (Hypovolemic Shock)
- Seizures
- Electric shock
- Choking
- Burns, scalds, thermal injuries (Hot and Cold)
- Poisons, Bites and Stings
- Bones, joints and muscle injuries
- Suspected Spinal Injuries
- Diabetes
- Meningitis
- Febrile Convulsions
- Effective Communication to Emergency Services
- Regulations
- Tools and Equipment
- Recording and Reporting
- Theory and Practical
- This 2-day course is effective, interactive, full of practice sessions, and plenty of time for Q&A.
- On successful completion the delegates will be awarded a certificate which has a duration of 3 years.
- Each delegate is assessed individually continually throughout the course to ensure they each meet with the competency levels required to pass the course.
Cost: £150.00 per delegate.
This cost includes plenty of course material for reference and a training manual which is theirs to keep.
